Melbourne University Ridgway Method Lecture

I am proud to announce that last Thursday our pain and injury problem-solving approach was introduced at the

Melbourne University undergraduate physiotherapy program.

This is a moment for celebration for Ridgway Method Certified Practitioners and me

as this is the first Australian university to include

Ridgway Method concepts in their teaching.

Graham Nelson RMCP (above) from Northwest Physiotherapy Group in Melbourne

presented 'Regional Interdependence and the Ridgway Method'.

This lecture explains how we use the latest neuroscience

to be more effective with our treatments.

For example, treatments in a different body part to the painful area

are often more effective than treatments in the area of pain.

This is an emerging concept in musculoskeletal healthcare,

and is one of the five fundamentals for this problem-solving approach.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this

concept and I'll be happy to explain more.
